After spending two years on Ros na Rún, Seán took part in the series Custer's Last Stand-Up, Adharca Fada, F.F.C. and Rásaí na Gaillimhe, as well as the short film An Díog is Faide and the feature films Cré na Cille and Kings. He also made a documentary for TG4, Faoi Chré na Cille, which related to the making of the film. Following Na Cloigne, he will appear in Seacht, Anseo, Síol and Seachtar na Cásca on TG4 in 2010.
On stage, he had parts in An Cearrbhach Mac Cába, Tine Chnámh (An Taidhbhearc); Fiche Blian ag Fás (Fíbín); Spring Awakening, One Last White Horse, Animal Farm and Philadelphia Here I Come (Galway Youth Theatre); Doctor Faustus, Waiting For Godot and Blood Wedding (Theatrecorp); and An tSeanbhróg (Salamander).
Having been nominated for best writing in Project 06 for his play The Dead, A Rose & A Beer Too Many, Seán wrote and directed the play Gáire 'gus Caoineadh Ó Luain go hAoine for Fíbín, which went on tour nationally.
