ROSG is proud to announce that a feature film version of the groundbreaking series Scéal na Gaeilge (The Story of Irish), will be showing at The McCracken Summer School, in Áras Mic Reachtain, Belfast, Friday 31 July at 8pm.
The Award-Winning documentary series was first broadcast on TG4 but this will be the first screening of the film version. Through a mixture of animation, green screen and location filming, this series reveals the history of the Irish language by shining a humourous light on the historical and mythological stories that are associated with it.
Fun, fresh and frisky, Scéal na Gaeilge is presented by Alan Titley, directed by Diarmuid Goggins and produced by Ciarán Ó Cofaigh for ROSG.
Everything you wanted to know about the Irish language but were afraid to ask, Scéal na Gaeilge will take you on a fun, energetic and informative journey along the cultural path of our nation.
Producer Ciarán Ó Cofaigh will present the film on the night.
The McCracken Summer School will take place in Áras Mhic Reachtain, 283-289 Antrim Road, Belfast. It will run from Sunday 26th July 2015 until Saturday 1st August 2015. For more information on the event click here.
